i'm definitely in a better financial situation than many in today's economy...i have a stable job, 401k, health benefits...but even with the increase in my income with the new job and all...every 15th and end of the month, after staring at how much i'm paying in taxes..i can't help but think...was the hefty salary increase even really worth it? being in this tax bracket and the lack of overtime work is making me depressed

Amen sister. I definitely don't make as much as you, but I'm scared to see my W2 this year because I'll just look at it and wonder where it all went and why my savings account is no where near that amount. =(
